Estrogen therapy before 65 may reduce Alzheimer’s risk in women

May 3 : A new study has supported the possibility of reduced risk of developing Alzheimer’s or dementia in women who use hormone therapy before the age of 65.

The study which was a part of the Women’s Initiative Memory Study, which is a sub-study of the Women’s Initiative (WHI), one of the largest U.S. studies of postmenopausal women, was conducted by a team of researchers led by Victor W. Scientists find gene governing songbirds’ curiosity

May 3 : Max-Planck scientists have found evidence for an association between a ‘curiosity gene’ and exploratory behaviour in Songbirds.

The gene (Drd4) carries the building instructions for a receptor in the , which forms the docking station for the neurotransmitter dopamine.
